Wandering in Aged Care Facilities

Postby alicia88 on Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:05 am

Hi, I'm creating this thread to seek information and advice about wandering in aged care facilities amongst people with Dementia or Alzheimers. I am doing research in this field for a charity organisation and firstly would like to know how common wandering is in aged care facilities? Also what kind of systems are currently in place to manage wandering when it occurs? How does wandering impact both the patients themselves, their families and the aged care staff? Thank you for your help.

Alicia, this board is a support forum for resident family members and staff - not an information resource for researchers. You may have noticed some of the topics published on the forums - if not, you may like to participate in responding to some of the posts.

As far as your research goes: Google is your friend.
